The 20 000 square km Etosha National Park is one of the world's greatest wildlife-viewing spots boasting 114 different mammal and 340 bird species. This mesmerizing region with its distinctive white salt-pans is a highlight of any Namibian trip. During the rainy season the pans are converted into shallow lagoons teeming with flamingos and pelicans, whilst year round, the surrounding bush and grasslands provide ideal habitat for a diverse array of wildlife, including black rhino, lions and elephants.
